The beeswax coating melts with heat, and becomes softer. Once the packaging is placed on your pot, it is advisable to apply pressure on the edges of your dish with your fingers to slightly warm the wax coating which will allow it to keep its shape.
Run under water, but not under hot water as this can damage and remove the wax coating.
